Roofing Contractors In Dresher, PA

Roofs in Dresher take more punishment than most homeowners realize. Tree debris along streets like Twining Road and Susquehanna Road clogs valleys and gutters, summer storms drive rain sideways under flashing, and winter freeze-thaw cycles pry apart seams that looked fine in September. A small gap around a chimney or a split pipe boot can soak decking, insulation, and finished ceilings before anyone notices a stain.

William Penn Roofing & Exteriors has been the roofer of record for Dresher families and property owners across the Upper Dublin School District and the wider Montgomery County area for over 15 years. Every crew on our payroll is fully licensed and insured, and every roof we build carries both manufacturer warranty coverage and our own workmanship guarantee.

Find the Leak, Fix the Cause, Stop the Damage

Dresher’s housing stock is varied. Mid-century ranches off Pennsylvania Avenue, brick colonials along Susquehanna Road, newer builds near Dreshertown Square, and older homes closer to Fort Washington State Park with additions and flat-roofed extensions. Add in the humidity along the SEPTA Warminster Line corridor and the February freeze-thaw cycles, and roofs here break down in predictable places.

The problems we diagnose most often:

  • Flashing that’s pulled away from chimney masonry or lost its sealant bond
  • Rubber pipe boots that have dried out and split at the collar
  • Water tracking in around skylight curbs and bathroom vent stacks
  • Drip edge that was skipped during the last replacement or installed backwards
  • Attic spaces with poor airflow, trapping moisture and cooking shingles from underneath

We don’t guess. Every inspection comes with photos and a written breakdown of what’s wrong and why. On the work side, we tarp landscaping, protect siding and windows, and sweep every square foot with magnets before we leave.

I had roof damage from high winds and reached out for help. Dave responded quickly, arrived promptly, and thoroughly inspected the roof. He identified that the damage was isolated to one area and was able to repair it on the spot. His professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail were outstanding. We recently had William Penn Roofing replace our roof and they did an incredible job from top to bottom. The representative, Kim, did a great job of getting our quote and presenting options to us. The roofing team did a superb 1-day job and cleaned up our yard well. The project manager on the job was there the whole time to answer our questions also! I highly recommend.

Our roof replacement on 274 East Court Street, Doylestown, was expertly done by William Penn Roofing with a minimum of disturbance to neighbors and traffic. David La Salle’s initial inspection of the failing roof was thorough and quickly followed by a quote. Scheduling and execution were efficient and communication between crew, tenants, neighbors and owners courteous and effective, avoiding all misunderstandings. Supervisors and crew were very professional and friendly and they thoroughly cleaned the job site, side walk and street after completing the job. It is a pleasure to recommend William Penn Roofing, based on quality of work, cost and work crew performance.

Really great experience the whole way through with this company. They are excellent with communication, returning calls/emails. Ashley got everything all setup. On the first visit, Kim was very thorough, explaining the whole process, and he had everything with him to be able to show us what we'd be buying (gutter size options, roof colors, and the vents). There was even a folder he left with me with literature and samples I could share with my husband. When the roofers came out they were polite, tidyand did an excellent job with cleanup. It's been 10 days and we have not found a single piece of roofing remnants. The gutters were installed the following day, we opted for 6 inch gutters and downspouts with the gutter guards and couldn't be happier. Again, very professional team and impeccable cleanup. I'd absolutely recommend going with this company for your project and hope to work with them again when we need future work on the house.

Residential Roofing for Dresher Homes

Almost every residential call we get in Dresher comes down to one question: is this roof worth repairing, or is it time to replace it? That answer depends on age, decking condition, ventilation, and how many previous repairs have been layered on. Residential roofing work across the Dresher area ranges from annual tune-ups and targeted repairs to complete tear-offs, and we get you to a clear answer without pushing you toward the more expensive option.

Basement Water

Inspection & Leak Tracing

We walk the roof plane, check every penetration and transition, pull attic readings where ventilation is a suspect, and trace water back to its actual point of entry, not where it's dripping.

Dresher

Roof Repair

Shingle replacement, flashing rebuilds, boot swaps, ridge vent repairs, and small-area patch work. We fix sound roofs with the right materials, not the fastest ones.

Dresher

Roof Replacement & New Construction

When a roof is past saving, we strip to the decking, replace anything rotten, lay down synthetic underlayment and ice-and-water membrane where needed, and install a new system built for Dresher weather.

Balding Roof Shingle

Storm Damage & Emergency Response

After a bad storm, we get on your roof fast with tarps and temporary protection, then follow up with permanent repairs. Storm damage calls often involve insurance claims, and we document thoroughly so your adjuster has what they need.

Commercial and Low-Slope Roofing in Dresher

Office buildings, medical suites, warehouses, and mixed-use properties around the Dreshertown Square area, along Limekiln Pike, and out toward the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange at Fort Washington almost all sit under flat or low-slope assemblies. Those systems need a different skill set than pitched residential work, and they fail in different ways.

Commercial roofing in this region usually comes down to four system types: TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and fluid-applied coatings. We’re equipped for all of them.

Missing Shingles

Commercial Repair Work

Seam failures, punctures from rooftop equipment, ponding around drains, membrane blisters, and parapet flashing issues all get addressed specifically. No forced replacement conversations when they aren't warranted.

Full System Replacement

If your building is patching the same leaks every spring or the membrane is past its service window, replacement usually pays for itself within a few years through lower repair costs, energy savings, and insurance adjustments. We model the options with real numbers first.

Roof Sealing

Coatings & Roof Restoration

Some commercial roofs are better candidates for a fluid-applied coating than a tear-off. When the underlying membrane is sound and dry, coatings can add a decade or more of service life at a fraction of replacement cost.

Materials and Systems We Install Across Dresher

Every roof project starts with a material decision driven by pitch, drainage, architectural style, and how long you plan to stay in the home.

Related Exterior Projects We Often Pair With Roofing

A lot of Dresher homeowners use a roofing project as the opportunity to take care of the exterior work that’s been waiting. When the crew is already on-site and the access equipment is already rented, these jobs get done faster and cheaper than running them separately:

Sagging Gutter

Gutter Replacement

Undersized or failing gutters push water into the fascia and foundation, which is where roof problems quietly turn into structural problems. A properly sized gutter installation handles the drainage load your roof is actually producing.

Siding

Siding Replacement

Damaged siding lets moisture behind the wall, where you won't see it until it's a framing problem. A fresh siding installation closes the building envelope back up and restores the exterior in one pass.

Open Skylight

Skylight Installation

A skylight is only as good as its flashing. A proper skylight installation handles the curb detailing and long-term sealing that separates a daylighting feature from a recurring leak source.

Cracked Siding

Stucco Remediation

Surface cracks in stucco almost always indicate water movement behind the surface. Proper stucco remediation addresses the actual problem rather than painting over the symptom.

Dresher

Window & Door Installation

Old windows and doors bleed heat and let water track into the wall assembly. A modernwindow and door installation tightens the envelope and updates the look of the home at the same time.

Hiring a roofer isn’t a transaction you want to get wrong. The roof has to be right, the property has to be respected while the work is happening, and the finished job has to hold up through every season that follows.

What separates our projects from the average roofing job comes down to a few things:

Fading Paint

Field crews that have been together long enough to install roofs the way they're supposed to be installed, not the way shortcuts suggest

Fading Paint

Material choices driven by what your roof actually needs, not what the supplier discounted that month

Fading Paint

Tight site management from the first day on-site to the final magnetic sweep

Fading Paint

Direct, plain-spoken communication. We tell you what we see, what it'll cost, and what the trade-offs are

Questions Dresher Homeowners Ask Us Before Signing a Contract

The homeowners who call after the drywall is already stained usually say the same thing: they wish they’d had someone up there six months earlier. A leak inside the house has typically been working on the decking and insulation for a while, and the longer it runs, the more of the repair happens below the roof line.

Catching a failing boot or loose flashing today costs a few hundred dollars. Finding out about it after the next nor’easter is a different conversation.
