I had roof damage from high winds and reached out for help. Dave responded quickly, arrived promptly, and thoroughly inspected the roof. He identified that the damage was isolated to one area and was able to repair it on the spot. His professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail were outstanding. I truly appreciated his quick response and quality workmanship. Highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a reliable and skilled roofer!

We recently had William Penn Roofing replace our roof and they did an incredible job from top to bottom. The representative, Kim, did a great job of getting our quote and presenting options to us. The roofing team did a superb 1-day job and cleaned up our yard well. The project manager on the job was there the whole time to answer our questions also! I highly recommend.

Our roof replacement on 274 East Court Street, Doylestown, was expertly done by William Penn Roofing with a minimum of disturbance to neighbors and traffic. David La Salle’s initial inspection of the failing roof was thorough and quickly followed by a quote. Scheduling and execution were efficient and communication between crew, tenants, neighbors and owners courteous and effective, avoiding all misunderstandings. Supervisors and crew were very professional and friendly and they thoroughly cleaned the job site, side walk and street after completing the job. It is a pleasure to recommend William Penn Roofing, based on quality of work, cost and work crew performance.

Really great experience the whole way through with this company. They are excellent with communication, returning calls/emails. Ashley got everything all setup. On the first visit, Kim was very thorough, explaining the whole process, and he had everything with him to be able to show us what we'd be buying (gutter size options, roof colors, and the vents). There was even a folder he left with me with literature and samples I could share with my husband. When the roofers came out they were polite, tidyand did an excellent job with cleanup. It's been 10 days and we have not found a single piece of roofing remnants. The gutters were installed the following day, we opted for 6 inch gutters and downspouts with the gutter guards and couldn't be happier. Again, very professional team and impeccable cleanup. I'd absolutely recommend going with this company for your project and hope to work with them again when we need future work on the house.

Google Guaranteed Service Provider Roofing Company

Residential Roofing Services Built for Local Homes

Residential roofs must handle rapid temperature shifts, seasonal wind, and heavy rainfall. Proper installation, material selection, and ventilation help extend roof life while protecting the home beneath it.

Basement Water

Roof Inspection & Leak Diagnosis

Roof inspections evaluate shingles, flashing points, attic ventilation, decking condition, and drainage patterns to locate visible and hidden problems.

Delaware County

Roof Repair & Maintenance

Targeted repairs address missing shingles, damaged flashing, small leaks, and worn roof details before deterioration spreads.

Delaware County

Roof Replacement & Installation

When roofing materials reach the end of their lifespan, old layers are removed, decking is inspected, and a new system is installed for long-term protection.

Balding Roof Shingle

Storm Damage Repair & Emergency Tarping

Storms moving through the Delaware Valley can cause lifted shingles, flashing failures, exposed underlayment, and active leaks. A post-storm inspection documents the damage and determines whether temporary protection or permanent repair is needed.

Signs Your Roof May Be Near the End of Its Lifespan

Some roof problems are isolated. Others signal that the system is no longer protecting the home reliably. The difference usually depends on roof age, the spread of damage, decking condition, and whether moisture has reached the attic or interior.

Common warning signs include:

  • Curling, cracked, or missing shingles across multiple roof sections
  • Water stains on ceilings, attic sheathing, or insulation
  • Granules collecting in gutters or near downspouts
  • Sagging, soft spots, or uneven roof lines
  • Repeated leaks around chimneys, vents, skylights, or valleys
  • Roofing systems older than 20 to 25 years

Repairs may be enough when damage is limited to one area. Replacement becomes more likely when leaks appear in multiple places, shingles are brittle, granule loss is widespread, or the roof has reached the end of its expected service life.

Roofing costs depend on roof size, pitch, material type, access, flashing complexity, and decking condition. A simple shingle repair may be straightforward, while leaks around chimneys, skylights, or valleys often require more detailed work.

Commercial and Flat Roofing Systems

Commercial properties, retail buildings, and multi‑unit housing developments often rely on flat or low‑slope roofs that require specialized materials and installation methods, which is why experienced teams handling commercial roofing approach these systems differently than typical residential roofs.

Missing Shingles

Commercial Roof Repair

Flat roof systems are inspected for membrane damage, drainage issues, and seam failures that may allow water infiltration.

Commercial Roof Replacement

When existing systems reach the end of their lifecycle, modern membrane roofing systems are installed to improve durability and energy efficiency.

Roof Sealing

Commercial Roof Coating & Restoration

Roof coatings can extend the service life of aging flat roofs while strengthening waterproof protection and improving energy performance.

Roofing Materials Designed for Local Homes and Buildings

Roofing materials in this region need to handle rain, wind, snow, humidity, and seasonal temperature swings.

  • Asphalt shingles: Durable, versatile, and cost-efficient for many residential roofs.
  • Metal roofing: Long-lasting with strong wind resistance and reliable drainage.
  • Cedar shake roofing: Natural character for traditional homes with proper moisture management.
  • Copper roofing: Used for accents, porches, bay windows, and architectural details.
  • Slate roofing: Premium, long-lasting material often found on historic homes.
  • EPDM rubber roofing: Flexible membrane for flat or low-slope roofs.
  • TPO and PVC roofing: Commercial membranes for waterproofing and low-slope performance.

Exterior Improvements That Strengthen Property Protection

Roof performance also depends on surrounding exterior systems that help manage water and insulation.

Gutter Replacement

Moves rainwater away from roofing materials, siding, and foundations.
